Twin Waters

Being presented with an allotment with Northern exposure overlooking the water at Twin Waters gave our designer a blank canvas to work with. After acquiring this gem of a block, the owners set about designing their dream home. Their only request was that they had as much exposure to the rear of the allotment as possible, with the focus being on the kitchen and entertaining areas, as well as their master bedroom.

With a narrow frontage, it was important for the building to stand tall and make an instant impression, which is does. Bold colours and stonework make a real feature of the front of the building. Entry into the home through a large aluminium glass door gives you an instant “wow” as you look out across the water. Vaulted ceilings, and curved walls, dotted with recesses to display the owners artwork, lead you through the home into the main living hub.

The house showcases a lot of high-end plastering work, from high-curved walls, curved bulkheads, and shadowline ceiling junctions being featured in many of the rooms. Externally, the theme continues, with curved, rendered blockwork, a massive curved patio, and curved, rendered cladding above the pool. Whilst challenging, the end result is spectacular.

The master suite, with huge glass, flows easily into a luxurious ensuite with a freestanding bath, once again with views to the water. The house is surrounded by beautifully landscaped areas, partitioned off for services, vegetables and herb gardens, as well as manicured gardens.

The house features 4 bedrooms, spacious living area, dedicated media room, a huge outdoor patio and pool deck. The final result was a tastefully decorated home that has amazing living spaces overlooking the curved pool and the canals beyond.
